About to run off to bed
Just a quick recap of the chaos that was my day…
After the morning walk, I squeezed in as much paper/screenwork as I could before one of Blondie’s hourly managers found me and asked who was going to help her change out her displays since Blondie had fired the aforementioned stupid guy. I volunteered. Spent a few very uncomfortable hours doing that and then went to lunch.
Lunch made me even more uncomfortable. I’d had a struggle getting in to my pants this morning, but I attributed it to being tired and clumsy. Nope. While I was on lunch I checked the tag in the waist of the pants and found to my surprise it did not match what the sticker on the leg of the pants had said when I bought the things. Go figure. It was a full size down from what I normally wear in that brand. So I bought more pants, go into the restroom to change and notice that there are grease spots on my shirt. What the hell? 1) I didn’t eat anything greasy for lunch and 2) I didn’t drop anything on me at lunch (it happens sometimes, usually when I’m eating something with red sauce and wearing a white shirt…) so I have no idea if they’ve been there all day or what. That makes me upset because I don’t want my co-workers and employees to think I’m a slob and I pulled that shirt out of the washing machine right before I went to bed. Crapola.
So after I fixed the pants situation I went and bought another shirt. When I got home I took the spray head off and poured Shout! directly on the grease stains and let it soak in for a few minutes before I washed the shirt again. It’s hanging in the hallway, I’ll check it for stains again in the morning.
Got a plan together to grab plastic totes from my parents’ place and use them to move. I’m going to call tomorrow and schedule a time to get the cable and DSL moved to the new place ASAP in an effort to entice my lazy butt to get moved as quickly as possible and not drag it out. I’ve got a reminder on the calendar to take down and pack my entertainment center, computer, and assorted electronics the night of the eighth and load them in the truck before I go to bed. I’ll be up early enough on the ninth to strap the guest bed (the bed K has claimed as her own, lol) to the top of the truck and then it’s off to see the wizard! Why the rush to get a bed over? To keep the vampires out, duh! Once K declares "her" bed is in "her" new room the invitation-only barrier goes up and we’re cool.
And you know I’m kidding about that right? Sillies…
I’ve already paid the rent for this place for this week (next week actually, the one I’d pay on Friday) and I’ll be getting another money order for the first month’s rent tomorrow. I’ll get the money order for the deposit the next day so my bank doesn’t freak out. Speaking of which, I’ve been having some problems with my check card at my new bank, and I found out why: I was spending too much money. Huh? They made a bif deal when I opened the account about how I qualified for a GOLD check card and how the spending limit (as a percentage of my available balance) was really high. So why did they turn the card off right after I bought my TV? Goobers.
