A Five Day Project Crammed into Four

Rough day at work. We didn’t get done even though I stayed two hours late. It turns out that even though the project people have been riding me since Tuesday to get this department done, I should have been allowed to start on Monday. Yeah, I got shorted a day. The folks that work Sunday nights didn’t do what they were supposed to do so I lost a whole day and no one told me. Here I was feeling inadequate and I really wasn’t. Given the number of people they gave me on Friday we cold have finished if we had been allowed another day.

Got home late because I worked late and was so tired when I got home I didn’t get to spend much time with Ember and the gang. Of course she was dragging too because she’s still sick and wasn’t letting on when we talked on the phone. Bad Ember! No soup for you! But she did make grilled cheese sandwiches for us all, so I guess that evens it out.

I made sure this week I was going to get paid for the missing time and the new time, and I am. Yay! Now if payroll will just cut the check right so I don’t get twice the taxes taken out….
