A day in the life

Went up to my parents’ place to do laundry last night and fell asleep. I really didn’t mean to spend the night up there, but I suppose it worked out alright in the end.

Had lunch with Critter again today. I was hoping we could do more but she had to work. I’m in the middle of fixing her steps, which she insists I don’t have to do, but I told her I would so… Anyway, I got the broken step out and go to put the first piece of the new step in and my drill battery is dead. Like way dead. Silly me. I *know* Ni-Cad batteries do not have a long shelf life, but here I am thinking this thing is just like all my other rechargeable batteries and the newer Li-Ion technology that’ll last near on forever once charged. So it’s supposed to take five to seven hours to charge the battery, but I’m going to run over there after four and see if I can get things put back together. I do feel a bit silly about that.

Seems OtherGuy was lying to Critter about something else too. There’s this girl that works at the same store they do that just had a baby and is telling everyone that OtherGuy is the father. When confronted about it by Critter he swears they only went on one date and didn’t even kiss and that was two years ago. They have done more than kiss, and it has been less than two years. Critter’s pissed. Especially since they’ve been together about ten months now. She’s thrown him out, naturally, and isn’t even speaking to him anymore.

I left my laptop over at my store, I originally planned on going to do my laundry, running over to pick up the laptop, taking a short nap and then hitting the day full speed ahead around nine or ten this morning. I woke up in my parents’ guest bedroom at six thirty. Ooops!

That’s all I’ve got for now, there’s something about the new version of OD that my desktop computer doesn’t like and I can type a lot faster than the words are appearing on the screen, which is a cast-iron bitch when I notice I’ve misspelled something two words back.

Going to Misty’s wedding Saturday, assuming nothing happens between now and then. They are actually already married; they had to because they were living together already and her divorce included a "no cohabitation" clause, which i guess is her ex’s way of trying to say "if I can’t have you no one can" but dude, by the time lawyers get involved it’s probably well and truly over. Especially since Misty had to pay all the court costs and pay for *both* lawyers just to get the stupid divorce. Go figure. Before anyone else gets confused over the legalities of one person paying for both lawyers, she gave her ex a monetary gift that just so happened to be exactly what he owed his lawyer. I asked.

I hope you don’t mind me saying so, but trying to help Critter but finding your battery is dead is kind of ironic….I hope you find someone who makes you way happier than she ever did. 🙂
