few months in

Let’s see. I applied for the other place and got an interview but was not hired. I have been trying to find other jobs either related to being a para or with animals since I have vet tech experience. I’m getting burned out on being an instructional para and need a change. So here is the changes . The one student who was always saying “this is boring” got moved into the teacher I worked with last year’s class and I know she doesn’t play games. The one who was super dramatic was moved to a gen ed class but since their para got hired at the place I applied at they moved them back into our room. They still are overly dramatic but we haven’t had too many problems with other students. Most of our students have love/hate relationships with each other one day they are besties the next they are ready to fight each other. The one who hit the principal went back to their previous school. There’s another one who gets angry but doesn’t share why they are upset and will either walk out of the room or start knocking over things or standing on chairs or desks. We have told this student multiple times that they need to use their words because we aren’t mind readers and can’t help them if they don’t let us know. The one student who did nothing all day but blocks and markers still barely does any work. They are supposed to be going to a different type of class but there is no openings right now. Like literally 5 of our now 11 students have behavior charts which I’m usually the one doing. I need to get out  and soon. I’m currently at home today and yesterday because I have been having stomach issues. Not sure if the stomach issues are just stuff I ate or stress related. Hoping for just something I ate and I’m trying to go back tomorrow but I need a change and soon. Please say some prayers if you are the praying type  because I need a change and better pay too. It’s hard when you are limited on what you can do. My son was very upset with me and my husband because we didn’t vote in the election. He wanted us to vote for Harris but I felt like whether we voted or not it wouldn’t make a difference and that regardless Trump would be president. Shocker he is. My son is gay so he’s very afraid of what might happen to his rights and I totally  understand that. I’m worried about the whole dept of education issue. I heard that since Trump is president he was saying that he was going to shut down the department of education which means students with IEPs and 504 plans might not get the help they need. These are the students I serve and help so if that happens what happens to our jobs? Just very scary to think of what might happen with that.
