Day 7 of 24/7

I don’t know why this saved as an entry when I told it to do no such thing, but there you go. This 24/7 is proving more challenging than I expected. I have a habit of forgetting until late in the day that I have my goal. Today’s effort is a triolet, which I have never tried writing before. It, too, was more challenging. A little science fiction poem, inspired by a line that Uncle Gnome left me as a story inspiration many years ago now. I don’t care to remember how long Uncle has been gone. I miss his gentle humor still, and his brilliant story-telling and fine mind. He was a good friend

So, Uncle, if you’re paying attention out there in the void, this is for you.

Migrants

The stars shone as never before
To the crew on their way to deep space
To a planet, a new foreign shore.
The stars shone as never before.
They wondered what fate had in store
As they sped through the void at a pace
The stars shone as never before
To the crew on their way to deep space

***

I hope you enjoy.
