Day 19 of 24/7

Another reasonably busy day today. I had some wonderful success with myofascial unwinding for one client’s shoulder, and with a technique to expand lung capacity and breathing for another client who is a singer/guitar player. I love when what I do works well, even if I am only the instrument, not the musician. The result is delightful.

So I’m still a day behind for the 24/7 writing. I’m just sooo tired. Physically worn out. The 5+ hours of driving on Wednesday annoyed the hell out of my right ankle, which I hurt somehow about three years ago. It’s intermittently pissy, and was swollen and sore when I got home from all the driving. So the next day, I was on my feet almost non-stop for 8 hours. Not swollen, but not happy. Today I got some breaks between some appointments, but it’s still not a happy ankle. Not agonizing, I’m just aware that it exists.

I was so tired when I got home that cooking food was beyond me. My kitchen needs to be tidied up again (I was doing so well when my daughter wasn’t here, and she DOES help somewhat with washing dishes, but not all the ones she dirties as she goes, and they pile up, as do the miscellaneous pots she uses). But all I had eaten was a handful of corn chips and a couple of vanilla Oreos. So I was torn between finding some kind of food or just going to bed. I found the last bit of leftover Chinese food in my very enthusiastic fridge, and it was still good, so some curried veggies, the last two sweet and sour chicken balls, and the pineapple beef went onto a plate and into the microwave.

Today’s 24/7 is a tweet.

Hunger wars with exhaustion–eat or sleep–today, leftovers win the battle, but bed will win the war.

See you tomorrow.

I find that if I go to bed too tired to eat but hungry I am inevitably wide awake a few hours later.. refreshed and ravenous.. then noone ends up winning!

Hope you get good rest for that ankle! Neat tweet, and neat about that expanded lung capacity.

I sure hope the ankle gets better. Foot pain is so tiring.
