Day 14 of 24/7

I spent quite a few hours today watching "Gone With the Wind" with my daughter. She’d never seen it before and I wanted us to watch it together. We bought some Chinese food, stuffed our faces and watched the whole thing. She enjoyed it and we both blubbed towards the end. Those of you who have seen and remember it know why we blubbed. I won’t ruin it for anyone who hasn’t made the time for this epic.

The end result was that I really didn’t spend too much time thinking about writing until late at night. It’s just after 11 pm my time and I came up with this.

Late at night

I can hear my bed calling to me
It knows my name
“The Jetsons” is playing on the TV
The story is lame
I’ve made the commitment to write
Each day for a whole twenty-four
So I’m here way too late in the night
Siren bed calls to me through the door
So off to bed I soon will creep
And then I’ll lay me down to sleep

I really am off to bed soon. Haven’t heard from A about his attempt to see his daughter and grandson, so I’m thinking it didn’t go well and he’s pulled himself into a cave (in a manner of speaking) to cope with the stress in his own way. I hope he’s okay. His ex doesn’t seem to be a pleasant person. (I mentioned a bit about her over at the Watcher’s diary in the entry titled "Dennis"). Anyway, it’s late, I’m tired and bed beckons.
