Ch-ch-changes

It’s amazing how quickly life can change. As you know from the last couple of entries, I’m now working in Windsor, which is where my sweetie lives, and since I spend much time there anyway, this is not a bad thing. What’s wild is how busy I’ve been in the two days I spent at the physiotherapy clinic on Monday, and the number of appointments already booked for me at the other massage clinic for tomorrow and Friday. And everyone I saw at physio is rebooked for next week. I can almost foresee being busy there even more days a week, if things continue like this. The current result for the spa where I’ve been working is that I am now only offering them Wednesday afternoons, Friday mornings and Saturdays until January, when I will stop working on Saturdays, except by special arrangement.

Meanwhile, since work is already promising to be lucrative in Windsor, moreso than in Wolfville, and since A lives within walking distance of both the physio and massage clinics, we are speaking seriously about my moving to Windsor. We looked at a three bedroom apartment, which would do the job nicely, but isn’t entirely up A’s alley. There’s another one coming available in a few months, and I’m actually aiming at moving by February 1. This will give my superintendent time to rent my apartment, and A is agreeable to storing some of my stuff from my apartment to make it more presentable to potential tenants. #2 Daughter is quite content to move here, since it’s closer to her b/f, although farther from work, but it’s all do-able. And yes, we’re looking at all of us sharing an apartment, which reduces expenses for both of us and thereby increases the amount of money we can put away for retirement, buying a house, or land or whatever. And if business stays busy for me, we just might be able to do quite well. I’ve also said that I’d be happy to take on some of his superintendent duties in his building, which would ease his workload and we could get paid as a superintendent couple, also increasing the household income.

I don’t know what exactly will come of all this, but it looks promising. I didn’t see this coming back in July when we met.  I mean, I liked him well enough and all, and thought there might be a potential future together next fall when my lease was up at my current apartment, but I didn’t see the changes at the spa and the new job and things snowballing. I will trust God/the Universe/FSM/Whomever that the changes are beneficial, for the most part, and see where we go. It’s interesting, if nothing else.

I need to head "home" to my apartment now. Bad weather is on the way, and I have to take care of my mousies and start packing some stuff to bring here to stash away. As long as I can get back here tomorrow afternoon for my massages at the new place, it’s all good.
