Birthday Entry

Just a quickie, right now. I think I must have slept with my right wrist bent and it’s hurting like a bastard today if I try to use my right hand to do…well, pretty much anything. Typing, for instance, is a little bit of a challenge. Opening a jar is beyond my capability, and holding my coffee cup in my right hand is a bit of an adventure. I’ll do some therapy on it and hope it unfucks itself before I have to go back to work on Wednesday.

I have my younger daughter here today, along with a friend of hers who would have been alone on Christmas. This is the same girl who lived with us for a month back in ’08. She’ll be 21 in a week. One of my former clients, whose parents live in the same apartment complex as I do, stopped in for a quick visit. She’s a sweetie and it was nice to see her. Son and his family will be coming by for supper today, so that’s all good, as well. With my wrist fucked up, it’s good that #2 Daughter already expressed a desire to cook the turkey. I’ll try my hand at making stuffing, but if it hurts, I’ll walk her through it.

Blessings of the day and of the season to you all, regardless of what you celebrate. I just wanted to get back on track with my birthday entries. I may have missed a couple over the years. But I’m back now.

You know I did that with my arm and am in therapy now. When she massaged it later in the day I went into extreme anger. It was as if she released it. The pain is still there so perhaps I have more to release. I loved your descriptive word…chuckles… Merry xmas Torrin hope you have a beautiful day xxx

I had similar hand trouble, and it got worse with time; had to use other hand to shift gears of car and manage the steering wheel. Finally went to hospital. They gave me a hand support that held it fixed and instructions to keep it on for a week, but ok to remove for showering. When the week ended the hand was completely flexible and normal again. Those simple fabric hand holders are probably forsale at pharmacies. Willy
