On My Run
… I see your doin’ fine.
We got our place in Erindale. We are stoked about it, really nice place, really nice feeling. When we went to the inspection the Estate Agent said the rent was negotiable. We thought cool, and when we were doing the application we put the rent down weekly @ $25 less per week than what they were advertising, they came back to us and said the negotiable amount was $5 less than the advertised amount… so that leaves me with the question; “Why bother saying negotiable"? Meh so we have it.
The guy at the safety centre today (who is a total hottie), told me I am an unhappy person; I would have yelled his appalling lack of customer service at him if I hadn’t been too busy mentally undressing him.
Dumb and Ugly are staying the night. This was not run past me and I’m not happy about it either. I don’t like either of them and I don’t want to be sociable with them. I don’t give a shit. I’m so glad this is their last night in this god-forsaken city. So I am going to hide out in here for the rest of the night. Bren got cranky at me for doing it, but I’m like: ‘you know I don’t like them, I don’t want to make the effort – they’re your friends not mine, you deal with it’. He isn’t talking to me now. I’ve had enough of everyone else in the house as well. I want them all to go away.
So after much pestering I went and saw the doctor today. They have put their consultation fee up again – $48. Plus the prescription cost me almost $60. I called my health fund yesterday to see if I can charge the consultation fee to my ‘gaps’. They told me no, I could only use it for hospital, or specialist. Well I don’t know about anyone else but I have only ever been to a specialist once, and $54 a month that doesn’t include the occasional trip to a GP isn’t worth it, as for hospital cover… I have Medicare for that – I pay taxes. So needless to say I’m going to shop around, I’m not made of money you know. Anyway, he tells me my loss of equilibrium could be due to a number of things, but he tells me I have a minor middle ear infection, and a mild throat infection, and it could also be due to the beginnings of a viral problem. So he gave me some über strong antibiotics (i’ve complained for these symptoms before you see), which will make me feel ill (YAY!) so he also prescribed me a course of anti-nausea medication (YAY! Again). He’s right they don’t make me feel that great. 10 more days of this woo. He also gave me a referral for some blood scans. My usual pathologist wasn’t there, and the half-wit that tried… and I mean tried, to take my blood mutilated my right arm. The collection tubes are vacuum sealed (for easy extraction and sterility purposes) and if you don’t hit a vain and you break the seal it can cause considerable pain, well you can guess that she didn’t hit a vain, I don’t exactly know what she hit but fcuk it hurt. I insisted that she NOT try again and wanted another pathologist, perhaps someone a little more senior that knew what they were doing. I HURT! I don’t like needles at the best of times and she just ruined any chance of me being nice to her. So the other, much more experience path-nurse came in and had no problems. Then I had to tinkle in a cup for her too, more than happy to. So fingers and toes on that one too Sharon.
I had a call from my general manager today. He wanted to know if I had any issues with one of the new recruits when I interviewed them, I told him no, if I did I would not have employed them. He laughed and said he was walking past one of the main compounds, and thought she was talking to him. Indeed she wasn’t, apparently she was asking herself questions, and then answering them? I laughed and asked if she was talking about anything interesting? She is a superbly qualified Environmenal Scientist. I’m not worried about psycho babbling, as long as she makes sence to herself, go for it darls.
I’m bored now. I have nothing else to say.
