The Quick`n`Easy Conditioner Poll.

So I went to the grocery store today with my dad to get a few things, and I FINALLY remembered that I’m out of conditioner for the first time in years. Pays to buy in bulk. I was in in`n`out mode, I zoomed into the hair product aisle and grabbed two bottles of Suave. There’s absolutely no reason to spend more than a buck on conditioner. Does the same exact thing as shit five times as expensive.

Anyway, I have a very dire dilemma. And since I have the opportunity to defer responsibility, I reckon I will! Which bottle of conditioner should I use first:

Apple or Strawberry?

Strappleberry, duh.

As the hair thing goes….I used Suave for a while because I am an imfamous broke college student….but I found that it dulled my hair color (that I so love to be as red as possible), made it less manageable, and really had a lot of buildup over a while. *shrug* Could be my hair type, too?

RYN: Which way? The way they broke up, or the way I’m afraid is going to happen to me?

August 5, 2005

I use the shit that’s 5 times as expensive. I’m a believer in the power of the price tag.

RYN: She wasn’t shoved out, necessarily. It was a long break up, but mutual, from what I’m told. Then again, I only talk to him. I’ve read the ingredients. But I’ve also tried both kinds. I have thick, coarse, wavy, unruly hair. Conditioner is my lifeline. I need the best because my hair is the worst.

I used to be an Herbal Essences girl, but now I’m a Pantene Pro-V Red girl. It’s also for natural redheads….and it actually DOES bring out more red in my hair 😀 I heart it.

STRAWBERRY!

August 5, 2005

RYN: No, you just confused the CRAP out of me, Timster. You’re right — she wanted the commitment without the work.

RYN: That turns me on.

I love apple scented/flavored stuff.Almost as much as I love.. uh.. Other stuff.OK that didn’t work out how I wanted it too lol.Samie’s

PS- I use TressEmme… It’s dirt cheap, the bottle is huge, smells nice and makes my hair feel GREAT.

August 5, 2005

I’m a Pantene Pro-V girl. But you should use apple.

August 5, 2005

I like leaving you notes. It’s been a while since I left someone 7 million useless notes.Samie’s

August 5, 2005

RYN: the TresEmme makes my hair feel really nice even though I tend to blowdry it to death.

August 5, 2005

RYN: I really think I might have hated myself forever if I hadn’t kissed him.Samie’s

RYN — you put conditioner in your goatee. That turns me on 😉

Always go with apple! ~*~Kristen~*~

Strawberry, definitely.

August 5, 2005

Best for last. Use the strawberry first. Apples RULE!!

August 5, 2005

The suave apple one smells way better than the suave strawberry one.

August 5, 2005

Apple definitely. I use Tresseme too and they dont have fun smells, but Suave destroys my hair. Eh. Price you pay for bulk quality I guess. But I love the apple scent, berry is too commonplace. Go for the gold.

August 5, 2005

Mix them. Maybe add a little lime and a shot of tequila too, or just mix to taste. Otherwise I guess it would depend on the preference of who ever is sniffing your hair these days.

August 6, 2005

Apple 😀 In my case I really do have to use the expensive stuff because my hair gets so dry. Suave makes a good detangler though.

August 6, 2005

APPLE!

Now I want some string cheese.Damn you, Timmy. I have no string cheese.

i prefer coconut myself.

August 6, 2005

Coconut *smile*

Holy shit, I didn’t even see the note above mine… Nice!

Apple…. oh yeah. I nearly purchased a bottle of conditioner that was $10 this evening, and MIRACULOUSLY fought the urge. The scent was, “vanilla plum” and it was heavenly. However, purchases such as those are why I’m broke. Which is why I resisted. 😉 RYN: Your last note really made me smile. Regardless of where Brad and I end up, you’re absolutely right.

Apple!!! Three years later…

I think you’d be more of an Apple man–crisper, somehow. Personally, I picked up my favorite soap in Bangkok. Palmolive makes a line for Asia with several fruity scents. I found watermelon there. Love it! Great in the shower but doesn’t leave a strong residual odor.

I must disagree… high quality conditioner makes all of the difference in the world! Maybe for “normal” hair it isn’t so different, but for my distressed crap I have to use the $20 bottle of Biolage… lol
