That’s a first.

I don’t believe I’ve ever called a girl, asked her out to dinner, then set a time and place, and proceeded with the evening. A “date”, I believe it could be called. I haven’t had a date with a girl I wasn’t already in a relationship with. Which amuses the hell out of me.

After what I’ve been through, I don’t want a serious relationship. Which is why I’m enjoying the pace Melissa and I are going. I have tinges of nervousness, I have butterflies. But I’m also a little bit relaxed. I didn’t meet the girl yesterday. Isn’t this the way I always wanted it to be, anyway? Slow and steady? We’re just feeling each other out, seeing where it goes. Which is the way it’s supposed to be, no?

It took a too-serious relationship to finally get the point of relaxed dating. It’s not about finding what you want in a partner, or even finding a partner. It’s just a date. And I have one tonight. : D

Fuckin’ A!!! Yeeee-haw!

Yes! Taking your time is where it’s at. That’s how Brad and I got to where we are today. Hopefully you’re okay with turning into a huge sappy dork like myself someday. *Hug* You sound happy. I like that.
