That was rough.
I’m surprised Panera was even open today. I called ahead, and Angie told me they were, in fact, open.
I got in at noon, and line wasn’t even ready yet. No sandwiches, no soup, nothing. It was relaxing.
Somewhere along the line, relaxation ended and chaos ensued. I was the only cashier up, and Andrew and Shawn were the only other people working. Talk about lack of support. I’m not sure how I kept my head on while doing everything. Coffees did not run out on my watch.
We had hot sandwiches up, and then soups. Meat wasn’t prepped in the morning, so we couldn’t do any cold sandwiches. No salads, either. It was… an odd day. Andrew gave us an extra five hours for even showing up. We ended up getting some help sometime after four, but even then, I pretty much closed bakery by myself. I made good time and was out of there by 7:40. I hope Jenny is happy with how I closed when she opens tomorrow morning. If I hadn’t showed up today, I have no idea how anything would have gotten done. Especially that span where it was just three of us.
Wendi wants to watch Being John Malcovich with me. I’ll do that when I finish my rounds.
*sips lemonade*

Blagh… days like that are stressful. I’m sure it went by fast though… right? Sounds to me like you’re busting your ass over there. I’m sure you will get a super kick ass reference in the future at the very least.

Dude, the second entry I’ve seen where you sip a lemonade! I read the note you posted in the diary of Mogelijk, titled Gays and God. I liked it. So I’m visiting.
