So weird that I don’t need to be up tomorrow morning. Well, I might get up anyway if I want to hit the gym. Or I could drop by campus and see about financial aid stuff.
I recall my calc professor showing some quick math regarding the stock market and mutual funds. Having money in a regular savings is the same as having it under a mattress, whereas money left in mutual funds will grow slowly over time. Man, I should have invested three years ago when the market crashed. Seriously. Anyway, I took some of the money I have in my savings and put it in some mutual funds. Diversify!
Still having money paranoia. It’s important to spend money on things I need, or genuinely want. To occasionally go out to eat. But I want to make sure I’m not overspending or buying things for the sake of it. Whenever I go out with the girl, I keep reminding her, ‘YOU HAZ NO MONEYS!’ I think she lets me to do that so she can dream a little, and my voice reels her in just slightly. Just slightly. I just know next semester’s going to be tighter because I can’t work as much as I did this semester.
I suppose by next semester I’ll have to make a decision about where I want to transfer to, and follow through on the paperwork. My dad DID say he’d pay for my education, just like he did my sister’s. I should follow up on that. It was easier years ago when money just sort of appeared out of a vacuum. Whereas now, I would almost prefer if I could just pay for everything myself. Hence my looking into financial aid.
It’s cold.
Ryn: You wish.

RYN: Yep I’m loving Willow a whole lot. Xavier is sticking with me. I don’t know what he’ll end up liking the best, but so far the list hasn’t grown at all. Thanks for your input! 🙂
