NO MORE BLOODY SHAVING.

You know, I’ve always bleed profusely whenever I shave (my face). And I think I know why. I’ve always tended to shave after I shower, due to some notion that the skin would be softer and I’d exfoliate more. …Which probably explains why I was bleeding so much. It was also that I liked to retain the aftershave-scent as long as possible. Kind of silly, but that’s how I am.

I showered yesterday but didn’t shave. Mike told me to shave when he saw me. I figured he would. I just. I decided it would look better to come in with a little stubble than a face of dried blood. Ick.

I shaved an hour ago. I was so surprised. No blood. I guess I got so used to ball-shaving being less risky than facial-shaving. Well, settles that, I’ve learned my lesson. And I still smell aftershave-fresh.

gotta love the shaved balls too. 😉

I stopped bleeding after I started using the three-bladed razors. And I always shave afterthe shower. Don’t shave my balls though. I don’t have enough to risk slipping and trimming something off.

I’ve had great luck with the Gillette M3 power – the vibrating blades are smooth every where I’ve used them. I usually use a Norelco electric. Have you ever tried one? T

WOOHOO!

You’re supposed to shave after showering because it softens the follicles. You’re also supposed to shave slowly and with the grain. (The things I learn watching Queer Eye…)

after shave smells damn good

You should shave with a Venus razor. Even though you are not a woman. Oh. Hi.

I HATE electric razors, myself. They make my face itch. I’m with the others– invest in a good blade (like a Mach 3 Turbo), and you should have fewer nicks and cuts. —

You can also use shaving powder, which is like Nair for the face. It’s for black folks, who typically have problems with ingrown hair. You have to make sure your face is scratch-free before using it, though. I considered it for a while, but ultimately decided it sounded like too much work. —
