Link The Cheapskate.

Once upon a time, Link decided he needed a candle. He went to the local cave to look at what the merchant had to offer. Link said to himself,

“60 rupees? Good lord, that’s a lot of money! Screw this, I’m going to go get the red candle, which is FREE, and has unlimited uses per room!”

And so Link adventured, but quickly found himself outmatched by tiny blobs.

OH NOOOEEEZZZ!

Memory from a past lifetime, perhaps?

Yoink!

Thankfully, Link has not been drinking that day, so he naturally made the wise decision.

He just started his quest a few minutes ago, but has he mastered his basic sword?

A WINNER IS YOU!

Link blasts on ahead, in search of the mythical flute to toot.

“Oh crap. Maybe I’ll come back later.”

Yoink!

“A room full of fast-moving blue iron knuckles? Not a problem!”

“Less cover. Hrm. I’ll do fine.”

“Bitches.”

YAYZ!!!

Link plays the flute en route to Level 7 and the red candle.

“Oh crap, I need the ladder.”

The ladder is in level four, and to get to level four, you need the raft.

You can just hear that secret noise playing, can’t you?

Link fights boldly in the dark against the large blobs.

“I just fought a room full of blue iron knuckles, this is nothing.”

It really wasn’t anything.

YOINK!
Back to Level 7!

CRAP! *stab*

..Nevermind that the point of this expedition was to avoid spending money.

A WINNER IS YOU!

FIREFIREFIRE!!!

that was very amusing. lol. well done. 🙂

I never played that game, but Joe loves Zelda, and I still enjoyed this entry… it made me think back on your Sim adventures and also think of my NES downstairs.

April 26, 2006

you had Sim adventures? this proved to be most humourous. Link’s my new hero.

Not really sure as to the point of this whole entry, but it sure did bring back the desire to play it old school.

Cute game.

This sure brings back some memories. So much humor can be found in old video games.

Timmykins, you have no idea how much retro-flashback-nostalgia joy this brought me. But I hated those little green blobs! And the “smock” noise they made when Link accidentally touched them. Damned green blobs. I miss Legend Of Zelda! I don’t suppose you’ve got any RC Pro-Am hiding back there?

Oh, my god. I COULD! I COULD HEAR THE MAGIC SECRET FLUTE NOISE PLAYING! Now if you play “Once Bitten Twice Shy”, “She’s My Cherry Pie”, and “Every Rose Has Its Thorn”, I will be transported to my childhood.

Ooh I loved that game. I wish I still had it. I could just hear the sounds and music in this..oh the memories

It’s been YEARS since I’ve played that game! AWESOME 🙂

Lmao…Is that Nintendo?! My favorite gaming system of all time?! I loved the “Bitches.” It was great.

*chuckles* Go Link, go 😉
