Alternating Sets
BB Bench Press:
5×10 @ 85 lbs
BB Wide-grip Row:
5×10 @ 85 lbs
Pull-ups:
4, 4, 3 @ BW
Good workout. Given that I hit 8 @ 130 lbs last workout, I pretty much expected to get at least 7. The last two repetitions were real efforts, it felt like my spotter was helping me – but he said he wasn’t. Seven was my target, and that seventh repetition I wasn’t sure if I’d get it. But I did, so I stopped there. Just four more months until I reach 155. Seems so far away. I hope this progression works.
I admittedly did more work after this. Some quick dumbbell inclines, then a simple curl/tricep extension cable pairing. Will deload next week. I swear. I just did more because I know I’ll be resting up next week. You grow when you rest. Gotta keep that in mind. Keep myself focused on resting and being motivated for my next cycle. So quickly!
