So I came into the gym today to discover two brand-spanking new squat racks. And just when I was about to lose faith! They’re almost like open-air cages, as the safeties are adjustable. I’m impressed. There’s also free-rotating pull-up handles on the crossbar. So glad they got rid of one of the smith machines to bring in actual, good equipment.
The head trainer asked me if I liked it, and I said I was impressed. He then mentioned that they’re going to be getting rubber plates soon. I’ve only ever HEARD about rubber plates! Man. Granted, I don’t really do that many olympic lifts, but it would be freaking awesome to deadlift with rubber plates. Makes the impact to earth a little less violent.
As for my workout, pretty standard issue. Feel good. Will stick to my deload next week. I swear. I should be just fine increasing my assistance presses and rows by 5 whole pounds. Hey, 5 pounds a month adds up over time.
I’ll get my work clothes on so I can do some crafting (in everquest) before I leave.
oohhh new gym equipment. 🙂 they recently re-arranged my y to include new equipment. but i havent used any of it.
