I was ramping my deadlifts, aiming for a 295 lb pull. I missed my 285 pull, but it’s not a big deal. For my assistance exercise on deadlift day, I was planning on doing RDLs. I figured I should test out the weights first before getting cocky and cranking it up. This got me thinking about progression of assistance exercises. I think I’m going to stick with BB assistance exercises on my upper days, so I can progress with a mere 5 lbs a month. If I add 10 lbs a month to my RDL, I’ll be RDLing 195 lbs for 5×10 in six months. That’s a lot.
Tested out my shoulder press. Again, adding 5 lbs a month over six months would mean I’ll be pressing 85 lbs for 5×10. That would be an impressive gain.
Occurred to me that I’ll have to test out my bulgarian splits squats and bench assistance weights. I prefer doing these things ahead of time. Getting excited about this program. Slow, steady progress. But if it works, in six months, I’ll be jacked. Ha ha. Okay, a little bit longer for my current long-term goals, but still. I’d like to run the program through April, then retest my maxes and either do a separate fat loss program, or reset my 5/3/1 weights with my new maxes, slash 90% as I’m going to right now, and simply eat less. Routines don’t mean nearly as much towards weight loss as a caloric deficit does.
The girlfriend finally got me into Everquest 2. Once upon a time, I promised myself I would never play them. Two reasons: One, the concept of paying for something you’ve already paid for. Two, severe addiction.
As far as one goes, everquest is updated constantly. Moreover, there doesn’t seem to be any initial cost, so you’re really just paying for subsequent updates and additional content.
And two? I finally have the time to completely splurge and powerlevel myself. Which will make me feel like I’m getting my money’s worth. Moreover, I’ve almost gotten my fill of Left 4 Dead. Actually, that’s not entirely true. I’ve been completely playing it in any of my free time. But I’m at a point where I can leave games at a moment’s notice. It’s a good time to start a new game. Means I’m not sick of Left 4 Dead – I can come back to it at a later date.
Also, gym’s closed next week.
And, as I enjoy doing, I like going completely against myself.
Candi’s character is a distance spellcaster, so I figured I’d make a tank for her. Well, not FOR her, I just would like to be able to handle myself on my own without being a huge weenie. It’s a white lion named Ballgnash. Named after my first character in Monster Rancher 3, Ballnash. (Characters were limited to 8, so the g was left off.) Ballnash was a little fairy who was COMPLETELY USELESS. So far, Ballgnash is proving to be far superior.
She seems all proud of her for getting me into it, but I tend to just keep saying, “I told you so.” I like binging on games! Don’t know any other way to play. Started yesterday and I’m level 15. She said I need to be level 30 to be useful to her. Give me a couple days.
What’s wrong with playing something you’ve paid for? Your girlfrind sounds awesome! Everquest2 seems similar to Fiesta. Ballgnash, bahahah. Bulgarian splits squats? What makes them Bulgarian? Uhhhh we must be going to different Dorney parks then. You’ve never been to Knobles have you?
