Got to the gym a little late and skipped some of the end of it, but whatever. I worked my ten hours today, I was just focused on showing up at the gym. Honestly, felt kind of tired through it.
I’m working on my next strength routine, based on what I’ve learned from Starting Strength, Practical Programming, 5/3/1, and looking at the Texas Method. Enough stimulation for strength and overload. Not too little. And not so much that the workouts are long or cause burnout. It’s got to be a balance. I may end up cycling my weights every four weeks, like a consistent ramp and then back-off, but without a hard deload. Something formulaic like that should avoid feeling like I’m running into a brick wall over and over again.
