Lifting for 6-26-9
Girl and I went to a lake yesterday. It was a little cloudy, but the sun felt so nice. I think I’m actually a shade darker for once. I’m smart, I’ve been putting my fedora over my face when I lay face-up, as I know our faces tend to get a lot of sun as it is. I love my fedora.
She’s out in DC right now at a conference of some sort. She’s the superstar intern. We miss each other, but it’ll be fine. I just got off the phone with her. I figure I’ll use the time to myself to change the oil in Clarissa. Seriously haven’t gotten around to it.

Gotta say, this is so less stressful than that fat loss shtuff I was doing. Oh, it was effective. It was hard. But it was stressful and not something you looked forward to. I enjoy that I can take my time with these workouts.
I warmed up better, and my left hip felt a little odd through my warm-up, just eccentrically. But as I went through my sets, it went away. Form seemed okay, though I don’t know if I was holding the arch in my back. Hard to say. I intend to increment the weight slowly. I want to be able to do the weight for depth with good form. I never make quick progress and I never keep significant progress. So. I tell myself to be patient, goddamn it.
I did the rows first because guys wank to doing chestwork. A joke with myself. Definitely prefer barbell rows to the t-bar rows. Something about how you’re holding yourself up with the weight in your hands. Very organic.
I didn’t like the bench I was using, as the notches are higher up, making it seem like I have to press up higher. It’s psychological. I left the last rep of the last set in the hole, as I wasn’t feeling confident.
I think I’ll go kill some zombies before I head to bed. Left 4 Dead = fun.
