Again, I’m convinced that morning workouts feel harder lately. I feel like I want to crawl back into bed, whereas at night I’m wired. (Though, it doesn’t prevent me from falling asleep.)
It was a mental thing for squats. The first set felt heavy. I could hear it already. “How can I be so pathetic to stall on starting strength without making any progress? I must be the only one.” I couldn’t let that happen. Third set, I just told myself that the weight was light, and that this was going to happen no matter what. Fifth rep was kind of hard, but at no point did I get caught in the hole.
I either missed a rep of press, or I just miscounted. I’m not sure.
Power cleans felt significantly more difficult than Monday. I wonder whether it’s easier for me to power clean with 35’s than 45’s. Next workout, I’ll try doing 140 lbs with 35’s as the big plates. Don’t know, my body has issues finding the point of when to “snap” and explode.
Lost two reps of chins. Felt exhausted. Did I mention I want to crawl back into bed and take a nap? Sadly, I have to get dressed for work like right now.
In all seriousness, I do need to tighten up my diet. I’ve been literally forgetting to eat. It’s going to effect recovery one way or another. I need to eat more. Sigh. It’s not easy.
