Took my sweet ass time with this workout. Top set went just fine. Squats just tire me out in successive sets. So I didn’t hurry. Before the workout, I thought I might do “extra” stuff to help out my squat, but there was simply no way that was going to happen. It’s weird how upper body work tends to lend itself to extra stuff, but lower body stuff tires me out so much that it’s just an accomplishment to finish the prescribed workout.
Girl and I took some melatonin last night to combat our, uh, tendency to stay up late. Woke up at 7 AM this morning. Awesome. This is good because I need to be up around 7 tomorrow anyway before I open. Hope to catch up on nanowrimo. Prior to last quota, I wasn’t sure where to take the novel, but now I think I really have some ideas following in my head. I just need to trust myself a little. I can do this. I’ve done this before. I can do it again. It’s just different, that’s all.
It feels calm and relaxing right now. I love getting in a workout and it not being noon yet. I haven’t had two days off in a row in a while.
Do you read the webcomic XKCD? There’s an old one that talks about when people use “ass” the way you did, and changing it, so instead of you saying you took your “sweet-ass time,” it would be your “sweet ass-time.” It’s pretty hilarious.
