Lifting for 11-2-9
If people keep doing this daily journaling thing, I simply won’t be able to keep up.

Deadlift:
5 @ 135 lbs
5 @ 185 lbs

11 @ 240 lbs

Glute Bridges
10 @ 95 lbs
10, 10 @ 115 lbs
Fantastic top set. I may have even had more in me, but 11 was my target rep, as that’s how much I got last 5-rep deadlift day. There’s only so long before I won’t be able to keep hitting double-digit reps as I add weight. It is… inevitable.
I think my work capacity has gotten better, or increased, or whatever. Have I mentioned that? I’m a bit winded after the top set, and didn’t catch my breath until my cool-down, but the accessory sets weren’t that hard. I really focused on being set at the bottom of each repetition. I noticed this caused my scapula to pull back better, which also caused my lower back to stay tight. Good practice. Still resisting the urge to add more and more weight to my accessory sets. It’s easy at first, but it’s a grind by the fifth set. It’ll get heavy eventually. No need to kill myself.
Still a couple months away from deadlifting weights that I’ve never pulled before, but if nothing else, this system is making my deadlift seem strong as hell. Better believe I’m looking forward to my top set of 270 during my 5/3/1 day. I’ve pulled 275 for five before, so I know I’m going to blow it out of the water. If I plug my numbers into an RM calculator, I’m running over an estimated 315 lb deadlift. Which means once I REACH 315, I should pull it for reps. Which is exciting!
Oh yeah, glute bridges. Very interesting. Definitely need the maxi pad as I humped the bar. Got a couple of odd looks. It’s what I live for! Glute “activation” or not, I’ll add it to my list of querky exercises that nobody else in my gym does.
Time to get my next quota in. Hope to get some (everquest) crafting in before I sleep. But first, gotta call the girl.
NANO. I miss it. 🙁 But I am doing nojomo, so i don’t feel quite as bad…?My entries should have a picture each, so if nothing else you could at least stop by and do that without having to read anything else. I know you and your hating to actually read my entries. 😛

Not too lazy, just too busy! Plus, it’s a little more practical? In 10 years, I will be able to really remember this month, as opposed to just having a shit novel on my harddrive. There were some pretty sweet boobs in the first entry!

RYN: Squatting and touching my toes are out of the question. But I CAN still walk/run for 30 minutes and do three sets of challenging reps on eight strength machines. I’ll take what I can get.
