Redemption. Had class this morning. Went to work to finish off my 35 hours for the week. (Our week is Wednesday -> Tuesday) And back to the gym.

Felt.. great! As I remember from my last workout, it felt like I was getting out of breath mid-set, and THAT was when I started failing in the hole. Today, I was focused on just staying tight the entire set, keeping my lower back tight. I know I have a tendency to relax just slightly when I’m standing with the weight, or even just walking out with the weight. Felt nice to get that one rep of progress.

Added two reps to overhead press.

As for power cleans, man, I was consistently missing my catches. If I have time, I’ll reread the section on power cleans. Some reps, it felt like I was trying to use my arms too much. I’ve been trying to use a “violent shrugging motion”, but it never ends up looking like that. Other times, I just don’t get “under” the bar enough to catch it. And the last rep, it was so bad, it ended up looking like a weak high pull.

Lost two more reps on chins. Does that mean I need to deload my bodyweight soon? Har har.

Finish my dinner, then I’ll turn off Kelly and play some Zelda before zonking out.
