I wheeze.

I slept for 12 hours last night. Okay, not exactly, but close enough. I went to bed at 9 PM. It took a bit to fall asleep, but I did. Woke up at around 3 AM feeling dehydrated. Went to pee. Peed for only 10 seconds. That’s very bad, as I tend to pee 20 – 30 seconds first thing in the morning. Got some water. Crawled back into bed. Tossed and turned for an hour in a zombie-like state before falling back asleep. Woke up at 9 AM.

I really wanted to lift this morning, but my head’s still feeling a little dizzy. There’s no question I’m still going to class. I tend to feel better when I’m outside. I don’t know why. Moreover, I have things to do.

There’s no question I’m going to lose weight from this. Damn it. Life doesn’t want me to gain weight. Colds make me lose my taste for dairy. In fact, at 3 AM last night, I had my typical craving for cheerios. That was my comfort food as a kid when I was sick.

I do not have cheerios. I am not comforted.

I’m really not sure what the hell to eat. What is there outside the world of diary? No wonder I had such problems eating breakfast before I started using the blender. Hrm. I did buy some toaster struddels because I had a craving. What? Don’t you like toaster struddels?

I was coughing in the dead of the night, but thankfully it’s only a tiny wheeze now. Man, this is bullshit. I’M NOT SUPPOSED TO GET SICK. Maybe if I down a lot of water and force myself to vomit, that’ll calm down my damn stomach. Then again, if I can’t vomit, I’ll be stuck with a stomach full of water. Hrm.

Oh, the decisions. I hope you feel better soon.

when you’re sick, you’re not supposed to eat dairy anyway. funky history lesson: the ancient white people of northern europe survived on dairy. it was their biggest food source once they learned how to breed animals. so today, a lot of white people (of course, not ALL white people) have no problem eating dairy their whole lives. on the other hand, almost every other culture, once a child is weened off breast milk, that’s it. my mom thinks we have some native american blood. partly because a couple generations ago, there’s no info about the mother of one of my great grandparents. and mormons keep very accurate records. she also thought so because my dad and brother are dairy lovers, and the rest of us stopped consuming most dairy products around 8 years old. and i was thinking, you’re half indian. so maybe your body is telling you to find more balance in your diet. maybe eat more foods that have passed through the indian culture. afterall, indians evolved with their food, like any other culture. it might make a huge difference. or, skip this note. i’ve been very rambly this morning.

you’re not supposed to consume much dairy when you’re sick because it thickens your mucus, which is counteractive to the measures your body takes to rid you of the disease. you want thin mucus so you can get it out of your body, otherwise it will hang out, clogging your sinuses, or occasionally moving into your lungs for a heafty bout of broncitis, and if it causes an infection there, pneumonia.<P> it’s possible i have no idea what i’m talking about, but this is what i’ve been told.

ryn: you could try variations of indian food. maybe try adding more grains to your diet. wild rice? or you can do what my cousin does and mix day-old steamed rice with milk and berries. or eat more cereal. oatmeal. organic pastas….

Bah. No sick. NO SICK. *pets your penis*
