Home For The Weekend.

I’ve never considered myself an artist in the literal sense. I remember “art” in elementary school. I quickly learned that I couldn’t draw between the lines. Well, maybe I could if I tried hard enough. But it became clear very fast that I could not recreate visual stimuli with my fingers. I’ve also had horrible handwriting for most of my life. Though, I admit, the reason for that was because I tried to learn how to write “fast”, instead of actually writing the letters properly. Same thing happened when I learned how to type, but I’ve since learned to type properly. I digress.

I never considered myself a “creative” person when I was a kid. At least in the artistic sense, I can not discount my wild imagination with TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLE ACTION FIGURES! :: emits Aura :: ..Blah blah.

Perhaps I considered it an insult to those with artistic skill to align myself with them; I could never live up to their standards. Cliff tells me that black and white art is better than color art. Thanks for favoring your rods over your cones. If I try to say anything about art, I will be accused of ignorance. Which would be quite right. I don’t really care about learning rules of art, which I’m lead to believe actually exist. Isn’t one of the things about art to break rules? Whatever.

It reminds me of that commercial where a guy is looking at a radiator in a museum, and saying how deep it is. I think his girlfriend was saying, “It’s just a radiator.” But why must art be in a frame on a wall? Why must it need a velvet rope around it? Whatever, what do I know. Nothing, really, I’ve never taken a serious art class in my life. As if anybody’s taught me all my mad computer skillz.

Maybe I’m appealing to the notion of Tao. ..Naaaahhhh.

I get accused to being logical, and not understanding artistic representations. Well, sorry for not having the proper perception of what the meanings of pieces are supposed to be. Meaning is part perception, part pretention, and part perversion. And I dare say that sometimes there is no deep meaning. Then again, what do I know?

This is all a round-about way of saying that I like taking pictures, sometimes I feel like I have an “eye” for pictures, aaaaaand I love breasts in my mouth.

(That white building is TGIF’s. I refuse to go there.
Well, for the time being.
I have a high loyalty to Chi-Chi’s.)

And, unless I’m mistaken, I had the flash disabled for all of the pictures posted. The nasty shadows are meant and overall darkness of the inside pictures was intentional.

Addendum: All pictures resized to 320 x 240, unless vertical. : D

notice the ones outside in daylight are of the best “quality” ie; most sharpness. i love photography. hence, why the only thing i’m asking for from my mom for my birthday is a digital camera. 😛 um. hi. 🙂

Down with the flash. I hate it, practical lighting rocks!

And how come designers have managed to make all colleges look the same? Damn them!

Nice pictures…photography was never one of my strong areas, though. I’m sure some of them smell like fish, though I’m pretty sure mine doesn’t.

Sigh. I have such mixed feelings about the matrix. I so want it to be good I find my self overlooking it’s (massive) shortcomings. I’m gonna go watch Dark City before bed to get over it.

Art is as socially unaccetable subject as politics.

ooh, i love the perspective..ness..stuff… on “Path to Lounge Entrance.” ^_^

cliffs laundry room is gorgeous. theres a kid, whenever we have an art history lecture, he asks “why is this considered art?” he asks it about pollock, about dadaism (specifically, duchamp’s urinal cum fountain), colorblocks, etc. maybe i’m an idiot, but if it makes me think or feel something – even question why its art – its art. *shrug*

*kisses forehead* You look tired Timmy RYN: What am I meant to not knock till I’ve tested?!

I think the titles make them deeper. Especially since one of them is the name of my older brothers’ old band.

Art is subjective. Art is personal. the radiator IS ART!
