FFX.
I’ve purposely avoided most Final Fantasy games because of how supposedly popular they are. I’ve played through most of the original Final Fantasy before reaching a point where I had absolutely no idea what to do next. I played through a third of Final Fantasy V (Japanese translated ROM) before losing interest. I just made my characters too strong and could bitchsmack everything. I LOVE class systems and that system made me cream my pants.
Two years ago (more like three, now that I think about it), I watched Erik play Final Fantasy X. I remember. Cliff and Erik were reminescing it recently and dubbed it The Year of the Jalapeno. “Wasn’t that the year your cat ate a jalapeno?” Anyway, I remember it was around New Years. They were wandering around the Omega Ruins. That, I remember. I remember the huge grid for upgrading yourself, and having no idea what the hell it was. These few things, quickly forgotten.
Cliff knows how my memory is, and told me the plot of the entire game. So I started playing through it starting Monday night. Only now that I’m at the “end” of the game did I realize that Cliff told me this before. That’s what I love about my memory. I had forgotten every last thing he had told me about FFX. I played it without a single clue of what the hell was going on. That’s the way it should be. He’s a good friend like that, he only pointed out that he had told me everything before after I realized “Dude, this was that game!” Otherwise, he remained silent to let me discover the game for myself.
Anyway, sixty gametime hours later, I’m ready to level up at the Omega Ruins. I want to turn Kimarhi into the Shitkicker. Because nobody seems to like him. …I don’t know, I liked him immediately. I didn’t like Auron at first, he was too powerful. But. *shrugs* Hey, gotta go with what works. He’s like the Fonz, except with less bullshit. I’ve ignored Wakka as much as possible, and he.. is useful. Goddamnit. STOP BEING USEFUL, YOU CHICKEN-LOVING HOMOSEXUAL.
(Let’s be honest, Wakka is gay.)
Speaking of hornless goatlings, I’m going back to Cliff’s. There’s things going on in my life, but I haven’t the slightest desire to go into it. It’s just much more pleasurable for me to indulge in a video game.
For the record, my favorite turn-based “RPG” would be Dragon Warrior III for the original NES. Well, relatively speaking.
Auron’s my favorite .. then Lulu, because she has more belts than anyone person should be allowed.

Wakka has an eastern-european vibe to him…. auron is the best.. lulu & wakka obviously were gonna ‘get it on’!!!!!!!!

Have you ever heard of Shadow of Destiny? It’s a PS2 (and possibly other OS) game… I don’t know. I’m not much of an RPG girl, but I think that’s what that is and I adore it. It’s very mind challenging at times. AT TIMES, I said.

Loads of gay people play FF. Well, Chad did, at least. So I hate anyone who plays the game.

I’m glad you’re enjoying FFX. I hated that game until about halfway through, when you found out what Yuna’s mission entailed. Until then, I thought she was lame. I’ve replayed it two or three times since then, and it’s on my list of favorites now. Auron and Lulu are my favourite characters.

You and Cliff under the same roof can only lead to trouble. I can’t wait. Be well,

You LIE! The best RPG on the planet is Paper Mario, for the 64, even though WHY DOES THIS THING KEEP RANDOMLY SWITCHING THE WINDOW I’M TYPING IN?!? GAAAAAHHHH!!! Anyway, I’ve never played any FF games, but now I wish I had so I would know what you’re talking about…

Lolol good luck making Kimahri the shitkicker. It’s hard, because Auron’s sphere grid path naturaly makes him have a bajillion and a half HP and strength. Teehee. I love that game.

I haven’t talked to you in forever. I was the same way. Never played FF because of the hype, but then, four years ago, I picked one up and my view on FF has never been the same since. (Rah the evil monkay)
