Fauxskin Log: Six and a Half Months, Part II

Speaking of foreskin remnant sensitivity… Well, before getting into that, I should briefly discuss my experimentation with using a tape ring. I can not tug in the summer. Why? I clip the bottom it to my sock. I like wearing shorts in the summer. So. I decided at least a month ago that I would do “something else” instead. After showering on Monday, I put tape on my penis. *smirks* I rolled the skin over, and effectively put tape around the shaft skin. ..So the skin doesn’t roll back. Yeah. “Tape ring” is the phrase I’ve heard used.

I have some skin-friendly tape. It doesn’t seem that adhesive, but once it’s there, it sticks like a motherfucker. But, that’s a good thing. Tape seems to be good for about two days before penis-sweat causes it to.. not adhere as well. When I want to pee, I simply roll the skin back like any intact guy. Ideally, I’ll wear the thing right into the shower take it off then, then put another ring of tape on after I’m dried. Long story short, I’ll be taking in the summer. I feel like I’ve been entirely inadequate in explaining this.

So with the tape ring, the foreskin remnant was in constant contact with the glans. Result is that the glans and foreskin remnant remain moist. For fun, while I was masturbating, I put my finger between the glans and the foreskin remnant. Being moist, the remnant took on a new texture. It felt, well, soft and wet. *laughs* But, more importantly, sensitive.

But, I’m not about to sound the victory horn. I would love to come out and say that I have a more sensitive penis thanks to all of my effort. But, I just can’t say that there’s a significant difference. For a time, I thought it was because I was masturbating with the skin. I don’t think the average circumcised male can masturbate with the skin, simply because of how little stimulation is used. BUT. This is a but. In the months I’ve been restoring, the masturbation has gotten better. Not OMG better, but good enough to be pretty much where I used to be with lotion.

It occurred to me that maybe I was lying to myself about the skin thing. I thought of, well, maybe I’ll never get the sensitivity back. The damage has already been done. I’ll still want a fauxskin regardless, but masturbating with lotion won’t incur more sexual damage. So. Now and then, I masturate using lotion, for comparison. Does it feel more sensitive? In a way, yes. The same way I’d feel sensitive if I hadn’t masturbated in a while. The same way if the glans was moist for a while.

Yet, there’s something that puzzles me. Masturbation is more “sensitive” when I masturbate with lotion. Yet, despite that, I will STILL have just as much trouble trying to achieve an erection. Actually, I usually don’t “try” to achieve an erection when I’m using the skin. I just let it happen. Over the years, I guess I just compensated and tried to force erections. (I got quite good at it.) I’m not quite sure what I’m saying, but there seems to be a difference between what the penis feels, and what the penis does. If that makes any sense.

*ahem*

Let’s underestimate, and just say that I have half coverage while flaccid. (Nevermind that I barely have overhang when I’m standing up.) I’ve done this in six months. So, in theory, in another six months, I’ll have full coverage while flaccid. I want coverage while erect. So. Um. It’s hard to guage how much time it’ll take after flaccid coverage to achieve erect coverage. Plus, I won’t be tugging over the summer. The tape will do something but not as much. Especially since I’ve tugged through the opening stretch. (Get it? Stretch?) (..Also, tape is most effective when you first start, since.. Well, think about it. Tugging applies a constant tension. Tape relies on.. internal tension? God damn it, I can’t express myself.) … I’ve just decided that at the rate I’m going, I’ll need a minimum of three years net time. And a max of five.

I’ve already gone six months. I can’t stop now. There’s no way I’m going back to a life of my glans rubbing against my boxers. I WANT A TURTLENECK TO HELP KEEP MY PENIS WARM IN THE WINTER! : P

See, I can’t even access internal Rutgers resources, which you can do even if your internet has been “shut off”. From my dorm, I can’t ping my gateway. But, from the lab I can? *shrugs* Don’t know.

Okay nevermind. I called ResNET, and they said they already had somebody coming over. And gosh daRn it, my internet is actually back up. I’m impressed. I was expecting Rutgers to be a little slow, especially with those budget cuts.
