Falling apart.

Physically, that is. First, I had that thing with my eye. Then I strained my neck and it hurt to move for a while. Now, I’ve had a cold from hell. I’m about ready to give in and find a general doctor. I say find, because my family practitioner retired, and I haven’t a clue as to how you find one. I almost want to say it’s easier for girls because they get their vaginas examined on a regular basis. Sadly, I lack a cock-doctor at this juncture. That is, I have nobody to refer me to another doctor.

I mean, it IS just a cold, but it would be nice to have the option of seeking professional help, regardless of the cost.

Here’s hoping the nyquil does its job and I don’t cough all night long.

if you have insurance, you can check your provider directory, which should be available online. if you don’t, you can call around, or get recommendations from friends you trust. if it’s really just a cold, or even a minor upper respiratory infection one of the clinics in the pharmacies (care clinic in CVS, for example) can certainly assist. nice to read you again, sir. 🙂 (formerly tainted angel, in case you didn’t recognize the tpod name.)

Do you have health insurance? If not, you can do whatever you want. And it is not easier for a gal to find a doctor. A gyno is not a general practitioner, and even getting a gyno is tricky business. Staying away from creeps and incompetants is harder than you would think. I have never seen the same one twice, but mostly out of a bad financial situation.

it is probably a virus and they can’t do anything for you anyway. I usually just go on the insurance website that lets you search for doctors in the network. But if it is for the cold, you could easily go to a Minute Clinic or Target Clinic. They do just about everything that is basic.

You’re funny. Cock doctor. My suggestion is to ask around to your friends and see if they can recommend someone. My doctor is leaving his practice in Sept. and it sucks because I really like him. I’ve been with him for about 7 or 8 years now and it took trial and error to find him. I know it’s hard. It’s not like you just want to open the yellow pages and randomly pick a doctor.

I used ZocDoc.com to find a doctor – they let you search by insurance coverage and then you can scheduled online. Easy peasy.

I am terrified of what I’m going to do when I no longer have any kind of insurance at the end of July.
