I missed the second single which made me exclaim, “Fuck!” rather loudly. It came off the floor, but didn’t budge beyond three inches. I know better than to retry, as I tend to do worse the second time. I also find that after I hit failure during deadlifts, it really effects my ability to pull heavy. The 185 still felt heavy during the first back-off set. 135 felt light in contrast, but it was a test for 20 reps. Damn you, Alwyn Cosgrove.

The fucking static lunges weren’t as bad as I expected. In part, because I didn’t go that heavy for RDL’s. I’m being wary, what can I say?

Both squat racks were taken, so I subbed in glute-ham raises instead of good mornings. And frankly, I didn’t really want to do good mornings today. And I don’t like reverse crunches, so I tried hanging pikes. Except, no way I could do them legs straight, so I kept my knees bent. Probably more of a hanging knee raise, but whatever. I didn’t swing like most people do. I did a complete pause at the bottom.

I’ll get the single next week. The 265 lb single came up faster than it did the last time I pulled it. I’ll keep putting 275 on the bar until I nail it.

As for me, I still feel like crap.
