Got up at 6 AM and actually held to a tight schedule, as I have things to do. Today’s workout:
- Squat: 3×5 @ 165 lbs
Deadlift: 3×8 @ 95 lbs
Shrug: 2×15 @ 95 lbs
Standing Calf Raise: 3×10 @ 220 lbs
Shoulder Press: 4×7 @ 65 lbs
Pull-ups: 6, 4, 4, 3 @ bodyweight
Bench Press: 3×8 @ 85 lbs
Back Row: 4×7 @ 50 lbs
Decline Sit-ups: 3×10 @ 10 lbs
I again did a 95 lb warm-up. After doing 155 two days ago, I thought I’d add ten pounds. But I knew last time I was getting near my threshold. I could just feel it being heavy. So I decided to knock the reps down one, as this is far more than what I was doing last week.
(Don’t you hate when you’re about to take a bite out of someone, and then someone interrupts you?)
I know, I dropped the weight on my deadlift, but I wanted it light enough where I could play with my form. I let my back be not-so-tense, and it felt better.
I felt kind of tired, and that’s when doing something like pull-ups is effected. Oh well.
I’m going to Atlantic City later today, so I’ll be missing one workout. Given how I’ve been pushing myself, it’s kind of a good thing. I hit some new marks this week, so when I go back to weight training class on Monday, things are going to be a lot easier. Shh, nobody needs to know I added thirty pounds to my squat.
I have a movie I rented last week that I haven’t gotten around to watching. So I’ll do that now. Hey, blame Alex. I really do need to not be here. She just gave me a skeleton plan. I’ll ultimately fill out the details.
What is your opinion on those excercise balls? The plastic ones, not the ones guys have.
