Exerbabble for 11-11-6

My pre/post workout smoothie typically makes one glass which I bring with me, and one which I drink on the spot. Be proud, after pouring one glass to bring with me, I tossed a half-cup of oatmeal into the blender, vaporized it, and ate it. EXTRA CALORIES. WOOO.

Today’s Workout:

HGM Phase IV “Gimme a V!”, Workout II, Lower Day

    BB Back Squat: 3 @ 135 lbs

    Superset A
DB Bulgarian Split Squat: 3×12 @ 20 lbs
    One-Legged Air Hump: 3×12 @ BW

    Superset B
    BB Squat: 12, 10, 8 @ 135 lbs
    DB Traveling Lunge: 12, 10, 8 @ 15 lbs

    Superset C
    One-Legged DB RDL: 12, 10, 8 @ 15 lbs
    Seated Calf Raise: 12, 10, 8 @ 90 lbs

    Sun Salutation with 3×12 vacuums

current bodyweight: 155.8 lbs (+ 1.6 lbs, weekly average of 155.4)

I was terrified of not being able to hold the rest periods, so I went conservative with the weight. Be patient.

BSS: I felt more tiredness in the back leg. I’ll watch my distance from the bench. I was challenged, though it’s clear I’m cheating if I don’t increase the weight.

One-Legged Air Humps: I forgot to factor in the fact that balls are round. They ROLL. Much harder than you’d think.

I happened to pull a bench over by the squat cage, so I could have a ball in the corner, and just walk back and forth. Right as I was able to rack weight on the bar, an older guy walked over and started doing a little bar push-up, hanging lat swing, half-step up circuit. Huh? Whatever. I probably won’t get that unlucky next time. I’ll either get the bar ready before the first set, or move over to the squat rack next to the seated calf raise apparatus.

Squats: Cut the weight, yeah. I’ll be able to bump up the reps next time.

Traveling Lunges: Nearly fell over. Still, did better than expected. Should be able to progress.

One-Legged Romanian Deadlifts: Odd, I had more balance in my left leg today than my right. When I went to my right leg, I found myself leaning over to the right too much, and falling slightly, causing me to swing my left leg to keep myself from faceplanting. I used the lunging dumbbells to save time. It’s not about the weight. If I’m having issues keeping my balance with something this simple on stable ground, there’s obviously some imbalance issues somewhere which need to be addressed. Also, the total of thirty reps per set gave my lower back a nice tingle, nothing major. Must be those CORE MUSCLES.

Seated Calf Raises: I’ve done more, but my calves just didn’t want to do much more, so I didn’t push it.

I forgot to bring a gallon of water to save time, so I had to walk across the other end of the gym to hit the water fountain. I counted off in my head by one-one-thousand. I initially watched a clock to get my timing right. Typically by the time I got back to my weights, I’d have about five seconds before starting the next set. Can you say phew?

Still, I survived. I think I can be more aggressive next time. After all, I limped up the stairs. I want to be unable to move next time! We’ll see how sore I am tomorrow. I really feel fine right now, except for being tired. Ha ha. So I say now!

Adjustments: Bump BSS weight to 25 lbs. No screwing around, let’s get those reps up. I want to see all 12’s for squat and lunges. I’ll do the same for RDLs, as I want to be lazy with my dumbbells.

do you find you are still making growth progress on an ongoing basis (gaining muscle weight?)

ryn: that’s why im transporting the families… and not to mention houses… that I like. It just got to a point where everyone was having to many bebes! Next time I’ll have to make some kind of population control.

I’m just so obsessed with geneology. If the black dude with blonde hair woohoos with the white chick that has green eyes what’s their kid gonna look like?! I MUST KNOW!

RYN: I’ve tried doing it once, and my thighs burned like fire. 🙁 I don’t have the powahhhh…

Haahaa. I had this black dude and asian chick mate three times and all the kids had different eye/hair/skin colors. It was awesome.
