Exerbabble for 1-23-6
As my weight training class was canceled this morning, I was freed to work out after class today. And since I gave myself saturday and sunday off to recover from a week of being sleep-deprived, I was extra-fresh today. I lead off with 4×6@75lb squats. (four sets of six, I believe is the notation I’m using.) I then did 3×6@95 lb deadlifts. That’s a good way to get your blood moving. Phew, I sucked down a ton of water afterwards.
I had a craving for pizza this morning, after having my Sims order out. I offered to take my mom out, but she has a sore throat. So I took myself. Buffet is comparable to the diner, really. Plus, I get to stuff myself. I know, I know, it’s not the best work-out food, but it’s FOOD. I’m an amateur. : P It had been a few hours since I’d eaten, but that worked out well, as I ate a LOT. So I felt while I felt completely energetic, I didn’t feel “full” at all.
Out of curiosity, I dropped the weight for my overhead presses down to 20 lb dumbbells, and BAM, I started cranking out reps. *smiles* I dropped the weight for my bench press as well, but my reps really weren’t easier. I should probably alternate 30 and 35 lbs. I didn’t do rows, because I don’t like doing them. Did lat pull. Did weighted sit-ups. Was about to do side-bends, but decided I’d done enough, and called it a workout. Really, most of my energy was used in the first six minutes. *laughs* This is why I like a split, as it allows me to do more over two days, effectively doing less per day.
Tomorrow’s a rest day, then we’ll see what we actually “do” for weight training on Wednesday. Given the stripped-down nature of the room, I intend to keep my work-out simple. Keep pace with my squats. The fact that I finished an 4×6 makes me happy, as I can lead off with that as my start Wednesday, if we get to it. Bench press, rows, military press, calf raises. Toss in some pull-ups, and I have a fine full-body workout. Our teacher said nobody should be done in twenty-minutes. *laughs* I suppose he’s right, given that we’ll be working with partners. But I don’t intend to be there all day. I did a full-body today, and I was done in thirty-five minutes. And I really kicked the shit out of myself today. I feel great! I’ll rely on my Friday/Saturday split to hit all the “superfluous” muscles that I like to keep at attention. KEGELS!

Hey, use it or lose it.
Y’know, I’ve often craved pizza after playing Sims and having THEM order pizza. Odd? I bought Sims2 several months back, but the video card on my computer sucked, so I sold the game, never really getting a full chance to play. But y’know, you’ve inspired me to want to play again…now that I’ve got my laptop anyway…I wanna go out and buy it again…maybe previously owned though…cheaper!
