Cuddle me!

So I placed those orders two nights ago. Wednesday night around midnight, right? Something like that. In further proof that newegg.com rules, I already have my external hard drive. Already. It came today. Absolutely insane. This in contrast to how typically slow amazon.com is. Newegg’s shipping is top-notch.

I really didn’t need an external hard drive, but in the event of multiple hard drive failures (as I have two as it is), this is the investment that will save me a headache. I know my primary hard drive won’t last forever. It’s around six years old now. I bought it as a replacement after Lisa Electron’s original hard drive failed. My god, I remember using a bootdisk to create a RAMDrive, and writing things in the old DOS ‘Edit’ program.

I already have a partition on my second hard drive allocated in the event it becomes my boot drive. I’ll refrain from verbal wankage of my partitions. Right now, I’m backing up all my music files. I simply have no other way to back up nearly 30 gigs of music. Burning DVD’s means scattering my data. I have no other back-up of the few DivX movies I have. Anyway. I believe I was hit on today by a female of the species. Was I dropping chalupas? I don’t remember. I hate just standing up front doing nothing, so I tend to find something to do. So there’s these two girls. One asks me how I am. Naturally, I was a little off-guard, though part of it was just going with it. She asked when I started working, as she hasn’t seen me. I said I live there and I keep a cot in the back. I bothered asking her name. Her name is Lindsey.

I was changing trashes (because I, you know, work there), and she asked how the job was. I shrugged and said I was still in good spirits. I then recommended she work at Panera, because you get free break meals. She asked why I don’t work there anymore. Perceptive! I briefly shared the story. That was that. I didn’t go out of my way to converse, because that’s not typically something I do. As they left, she said bye to me. Ha ha.

Trisha wasn’t in today, so I had nobody to talk to. I also got no break today. Which means I got an extra half hour. :: twirls finger :: When I got home, I immediately downed calories. Hello, I deadlifted this morning. I expect tomorrow’s workout to go very well. I love overhead pressing.

As I said, I’m in a really good mood. I want to cuddle.
