A good day.

I’m not even sure how, but I got Minnie the Moocher stuck in my head. Not even the real lyrics, just the nonsensical stuff that’s bantered with the audience. Hi-de-hi-de-hi-de-ho? You know, from Blues Brothers. Cab Calloway.

Sometimes I don’t think I could ever have a desk job. I hate being in one spot, relatively speaking. I’m more content given a lot of things to do. When I came in this morning, GM handed me the headset, as she was having vertigo. Trisha took the headset when she came in. New girl on register, so I just collected for a while. Travis came in to collect, and Keith came in for dining room, so I found myself scratching my head for a moment, wondering what to do with myself. So, I put on some gloves and decided to help line, occasionally helping new girl with register. I’m still really fuzzy about some items, but it’s a lot of fun. Plus, Lili is insanely fast, so I just try to keep up with her. I love hispanics.

Hrm. I’m strange. Who actually thinks mopping and doing dishes is an idea of a good time? I took the headset while Trisha was on break, but that was about it. I’m slowly getting the hang of drive-thru. I just can’t take orders while I’m collecting money yet. I’ll get there. Whatever, doesn’t matter.

Monday’s my last day off until Thanksgiving. I’ll probably take some time to clean up around here. I’ll try to hit the grocery store tomorrow, either before or after employment. Hrm. Don’t really have much else to say. I’ll probably go play a little more Melee before peeing and going to bed early.

what job do you actually do? This entry confused me somewhat! xx

Doing drive-thru and taking money at the same time can get pretty tricky. but once you get the hang of it..its like second nature. i love being on drive thru myself. I cant stand being on boards and staying one place…i have to move. And the $100…we can also take those, but you have to wait to break them. every once in a while though, we dont have enough change, and we have to say no….

i like hispanics too. the men, of course. *drools* my desk job is entertaining. plus, i don’t really stay in one place. i’m in the upstairs offices fixing people’s Outlook and showing them tricks on Excel. i support every department, so it’s very interesting and varried work. i like office work. i just don’t always like the people i work with. i dunno. enjoy your day off!

i would probably have fun mopping and doing dishes. Well. the dishes at least. I don’t really like mopping…. it’s funny, at work, when my boss tells me to get something to eat or take a breakd, i’m always like… “but i have so much WORK to do! i don’t wanna stop!”
