So much to do, so little time

Whew…I simply can’t get anything finished at work today because I have the never-ending queue of things to do ticking through my head at an alarming pace.

Don’t get me wrong, I love having parties and entertaining all my friends…until I have to organize things and run all the errands. My roomies and I have at least ten out of town guests coming to our party, I’m assuming that even more people than that will end up just sleeping at my place as to avoid the dreaded DUI. My house is a mess, I have to pick up the keg and champagne still, not to mention getting some cheap champagne flutes and a couple appetizer/snack trays. Hopefully some generous friend will have mercy on us and chip in for some of the expenses…I may have a new job, but I’m not made of money…lol!

It has gotten to the point that Missy (my other roommate) has made an hour by hour schedule of what we need to accomplish by tomorrow…and it isn’t looking pretty. I am going to be exhausted come party time!

I do need to pace myself tomorrow night so I am no miserable the next morning. Kyle invited me to do a New Year’s Day “dinner” with his family at 2 p.m. so I need to be sober and looking decent by hour. After the last party I threw I was having trouble forming complete sentences by 6 p.m. the next day.

Do you ever wake up the next day after a huge party and honestly wonder if you would blow over the legal alcohol limit if you were pulled over? I do…lol!

Oh well, despite all the trouble and all the cleaning I have to resort to for this party I am excited. I bought the hottest little outfit to wear tomorrow night…pink and lacy, like lingerie on the outside…I love it. I’m hoping to turn some heads. Other than that, I will be surrounded by my favorite people at one of my favorite times of year. Can’t go wrong with that!
