Organizational “Renewal”

Here is what I heard at our mandatory work meeting yesterday:

"We are going through an organizational renewal, which involves many things, including reduction in our forces and remote working environments."

Since you probably don’t speak "corporate executivese", I will translate what that actually means:

"We are completely changing our leadership and office structure, firing people we think we no longer need and closing your offices so you have to now work out of your home."

….I’m sorry, excuse me? Out of my home? I have a bouncy blonde roommate who doesn’t work until 3 p.m. I have a bedroom the size of a cubicle and an apartment that is so small we don’t even have a kitchen table. Exactly where will I be working from? Shall I remove my bed and put a desk in there? That way I can just work all night too.

This is just a bad idea…oh well, lets see how it goes.

I think I may just hate working for "the man"
