finally

 Hey all. I don’t have a ton to write, but I thought I’d better
write something since I can hear the lynch mob gathering from here. 🙂

  It’s been a crazy couple of months, lemme tell you. The kids
seem to be settling in to something that resembles a routine. Yani’s
school attendance and work is drastically improving. Her attitude is
another thing altogether. Ugh. I swear she’s just going to skip the
next couple of years and head right into adolescence. She gets snottier
everyday. Except with me, of course. I think she’s still to scared to
smart off to me, but she’s been pushing Chrys and Mom’s buttons
regularly. They’re ready to pull their hair out and I’m ready to pull
hers. lol  Anyway, Miles has been doing fantastic with the
exception of this last week. But I fully believe that’s because his dad
just left for Spain again. So I am trying to be understanding with him.

  I am working a lot more now. I start training to be a closer
this week and an opener next week. Plus, I’m getting a set of keys
sometime soon. It’s nice to be considered a good employee. I like it.

  Joe and I are talking again. We have plans to hang out this
weekend. It’s nothing romantic or anything. It’s been mostly talking
about past hurts and healing from the things we did to each other. But
we do have fun together; that’s never been the problem! So, all in all,
I think it’s good that we can talk.

  Um, I’m pretty much dry on topics now, so I’m going to get off
of here and head down to the station to get some soda and snacks, then
to pick Yani up from school and walk to the park. It’s a nice enough
day for it!
