SHOE ON FOOT; FOOT IN MOUTH, KICKING BUTTS

       To the great surprise of the entire nation there is a political brouhaha erupting in  New Jersey over a purported retaliatory action done by the Governors Top Level Staff. Local access to the George Washington Bridge from Fort Lee NJ , a small town at the foot of the bridge was curtailed resulting in massive amounts of traffic backing up into the town and clogging local streets. This happened on the first day of school and besides making children very late for school also impacted EMT services in the town. The Governor at first denied any knowledge of the action even quipping that he did not place any of the traffic cones. Evidence is mounting from E Mails and the like that the top levels of people on his staff did indeed directly and condone the actions. In order to regain some credibility the governor undoubtable will have to cut some people loose. It may also have negative effect on his Presidential hopes but I hope not. I think that the only way to get a new governor here is to have him elected to Higher Office. The governor prides himself on being a hands on manger and fully involved in every facet of this office and that does not gibe with this case with top level advisors being able to run a covert action like this.
     There is a gradual easing of the extreme cold here and this morning I saw ice breaking and moving on the river. The weekend is forecast to bring temperatures in the low fifties and hopefully that will stay here for some time.
     Here is a photo of my NY Eve date and you might agree that she would be able to handle the red shoes with aplomb. The next morning it was UGGS.
