SEA BLIGHT SHAME

This was a weekend of many developments. I will start with the worst one, a surprise. Rumors had been swirling around my town that the Library building had been scheduled to be demolished on January 13, today. Various Community Leaders asked for a stay until after the next Council Meeting. In the interim a Builder looked at the place along with a Community member. The verbal estimate was under $100,000.00 to repair the Library and this was the Insurance settlement.
Saturday morning without any advance notice the bulldozers arrived and tore down the building.
This ended any organized protest to the demolition as it was down. Finished.

We have in storage a complete

set of shelving and books along with desks and the like that was donated to our library by another town. This was a shocking development and has left a stunned and betrayed feeling in the town. See the photos below.
I also managed to see Her a movie that takes place in the very near future. I saw it Saturday and quite frankly I still haven’t decided if I liked it or not.

This makes me believe that there is an “agenda”. Not the residents of your town, but somebody who is absolutely sure they know best. Time to start snooping and get that insect out of the inner circle. Of course if the decision maker is going to pocket the expense for a NEW library, woohoo. Don’t see that as part of the plan tho.

RC: Its good to know Im “right where I need to be” but it does SUCK. I am NOT a fan of the new feelings I am getting to feel as my sobriety continues. Thats been one of the hardest things, actually FEELING the feelings is not one of my favorite things to do. Thats why I drank, so I didnt have to feel. I just wanna beat my head on my desk and sleep until the want for alcohol leaves me!

Again, powers that be prove to be untrustworthy

That is unbelievable. I’ve never seen anything like it. I don’t think I would care for the movie Her but it’s good to Joaquin Phoenix in a movie. I don’t know if I spelled his first name correctly it would be nice if he went back to his given name of Leaf Phoenix but that’s just me being too lazy to learn how to spell his first name. A lot of people pick on him as being weird, etc but he had a really screwed up childhood that most people don’t know about. His parents joined a cult when he was very young & frankly I’m amazed he’s still around unlike his brother River. I hope you have a great week. XO

Kind of shocked they just went ahead and tore it down. The $100,00 to fix it was too much? 🙁

RYN~That made me smile! 🙂
