REMAINING YEAR

My lease is up 12/31/2017. Under the Lease terms I must give 30 days written notice if I am not renewing. Yesterday I wrote the letter and today I will post  it Return Receipt Requested. The apartment was clean and neat and just a tiny bit dated. The major problem is from front door to top of the stairs is 14  good sized steps. I have friendly and nice  neighbors and the Maintenance crew is  prompt and efficient.

My youngest boy Rob is the driving force for the move. I looked and checked out quite a few replacement apartments and all were rejected for various reasons.I had just about enough  and was ready to inform all concerned that I was staying.

Rob stepped up to the plate and hit a Home Run. The boy is good.

A one bed room, kitchen fully redone, living room, and a den with washer and drier, hardwood floors and a basement for storage, There is a new patio with room for a table and a grill. The yard will be landscaped and grass will be trimmed regularly They are in the process of replacing the old driveway. The house has been newly sided. All moving costs will be covered by my employer. It is a three minute drive to Rob;s house. It abuts the grounds of the recently closed Fort Monmouth NJ.

Idyllic.

Refresh your drink of make new coffee because there is a size 11 shoe descending to the hard wood floor.

Thunk.

The problems lie with the Planning Board of the new town, No CO will be issued until the floors get their second coat of varnish and the walls  are all painted. Then an inspection will  be scheduled. The owner is a Local and well respected Contractor  and does not anticipate any problems.

All will be go !!!

Me worry, ? Never,   Everything will work out.

My Higher Power will handle the details and by January 1 this will be but a memory.

You might ask just why then I am writing an entry at 3 am on a Friday.
