Psst…Don’t tell the kids….

Even as I started my Diary I had this idea about writing a fictional Diary for my kids to find one day as a beyond the grave put on. There will be a series of entries all fiction but presented as fact. The last entry will disclose this fact. I contacted the Webmaster and was given the permission to start. I will write the first entry and then have other entries from other Diarists. Certain logistical problems have occurred to me and the main one being how to get your stories as the Leave a note section only can hold 250 + letters. What has occurred to me is to set up an E Mail Section elsewhere for people to send their stories to and for me to publish here under my own name. I would then use the Author’s name as the name of a character in the story. This is only one idea and I solicit other suggestions. Since I tend to plan and then wait before acting it has belatedly occurred to me that after a short period of time that only we who start this Diary will realize it is a put on and later arrivals will be in the same place as my children, unaware. The other idea would be to publish the Diary password and name for all to enter directly. This was my first idea but I disregarded because it might get out of control. I think I should personalize the entries to make them see more from me. If you would like to participate leave me a note or suggestion. Maybe I will add my E Mail address to the header here and then can get E Mails or even use an E Mail address as the new Diary’s name. Ideas and suggestions please. Remember, no stories yet. And these stories are not to be the stories of Casanova nor of Superman rather just true enough to accepted as fact. And this will be a completely fun exercise not a commercial venture. The first thing is to set up a format and decide how to proceed If there is any interest. Then again, if none, I could go it alone and do it without help. Not as much fun .So remember that we are only one life to live so why not improve it? I will let all know the results of your input and maybe get started next week on Monday.

Now remember No stories yet. Suggestions on how to set up or even if you think it will work.. What I a deathly afraid of is getting 3000 E mail suggestions. Or none at all.

I have been writing this for several days and have decided that I will set up a new E mail account and put it on my entry for 2-25-99. Then those of you who wish to can contact me with ideas to refine this plan.
