OVERNIGHT

What a gift. Yesterday because of the hard falling snow my son chased me home. With the Camaro and it ‘s close to the ground profile we bpth were not sure how it would handle in deep snow. As it would develop that at that hour the car handled fine. The snow was not deep, yet. I made it home without any road problems.
Once home I spent the day experimenting in my kitchen. First I mixed and baked Quiche Lorraine’s in muffin tins. I had no pie crust materials so I used a Pillsbury dough up about 75% of the cup and then poured the custard on top. The experiment failed as the quiche broke apart on de panning and was watery.
Next on the agenda for the Mad Scientist Kitchen Variety was meatloaf. I baked them in muffin tins and they came out fantastic. I made  6, ate two and froze 4 for the future. I would rate them a success.
I watched TV, read and peeked at the snow until Person of Interest went off the TV at 11. It was a rerun but a good one.       The bed welcomed me and also forgave me for the 1 hour nap I took about 6 pm.
When I awoke at 5 am in response to the alarm clock I checked out the window. The street had been plowed well but my car was well buried.  I made it into work at 7 am with a care package from Dunkin Donuts.
   Let the Game begin !!!!

i looked out this morning and i could still see the sidewalk thru the snow. making cupcake meatloaf sounds like a good idea. make it and freeze most of it. when raymond and i lived in colorado, he had a ’67 camero and would NOT drive it if the sky had a single cloud in it. it was a convertible and he worried about the top. he had already had to replace it once. bought it used for $400 and sold itbefore we moved for $4000! he said it would have just rusted out here in new hampshire. take care,

Disconcerting to see thick ice on inside of storm doors this am–

snow is a four letter word. as is yuck! ryn, J.E. books are fabulous! i have the first ones on cd, and replay them from time to time. i am delighted that you like them too. so east does meet west sometimes! (heh) speaking of watching reruns, i am enjoying netflix and watched three shows of the eureka series before i fell asleep last night.

You are too funny. My best friend is over there across the river stranded in a hotel. She doesn’t know what to do in the snow…I told her to go to Macy’s. LOL

Sounds like a more productive evening than mine, which involved letting my husband do all the shoveling and nuking a Weight Watchers frozen pasta meal! What was your grand total for snow?

I’m glad that you left work early and got home without a problem. The meatloaf in the muffin tins sounds like a good idea. Stay warm.
