I impress myself

Whew…Am I full. I had dinner tonight with a friend Back about ten years ago when I was really hurting he took me under his wing. I received support and good advise from him. He is the most non judgmental person I ever met and has been there for me from day one. His wife is just finishing up chemotherapy for breast cancer and has done marvelously with the treatment. Both his sons are away at college and doing well. An unusual case of good things happening to good people. Most of my friends and they are real few in number date back to my late teens and have mostly faded throughout the years, This man I met just a decade ago and we have experienced so much together. Roles have reversed several times with first him and then me helping the other. Trust developed and now there is nothing we could not share with the other. A good dinner with good conversation and no pressure is what happened tonight. Sitting at the table we could look out on a river and see the brilliant stars over the water in a clear cold sky. Boy, winter has returned and the temperature plummeted down to the teens rapidly. My poor flowers have come up about three inches and are getting the shock of their life. Daffodils and tulips unite. You have nothing to lose but your blooms!!!

The pink cloud still is riding steady. I only need it to get warmer so I can put the top down. Tonight , parking at the restaurant a young lady looked at the car and told me ” My boyfriend drives an Acura also. It is a legend.” Now I have gone through most of my life thinking of things to say after the occasion passed but tonight I was on top of my game for I replied without batting an eyelash ” My Acura is a TL. I am a legend.” Now most of you probably will say so what…but I impressed myself and that is what is important tonight.
