ENOUGH

Since Friday 13th I have been fighting a losing battle against a cold. I hemmed and hawed about calling the Doctor. When I decided to call it was abut 10 minutes after to Doctor left for the weekend.

Pure genius

Needless to say I was the first Patient to be seen as the Doctor wanted me out of the Waiting and into a Examination room before the early patients arrived. After a thorough checkup she confirmed my diagnosis of a chest. Two meds were indicated, Amoxicillin and a inhaler, and I was to continue my choice, Metamucil.

I rested at home and actually did go on an AA Speaking commitment. For the sake of the other men I drove myself.

I set no alarm clock and slept fitfully until ten. I took my first round of meds then and to tell the truth I really was not feeling much better. Then came the kicker a dreaded ” Side effect ” as my tongue swelled and became sore. Stop the antibiotic , take OTC Benadryl, and new antibiotic in am. Who a thunk it ????

People ( little ) are banging on my door. Let me go breathe on all the treats and give them out.
