fleas.
I absolutely hate them, i loath them and yet they seem to love my home.
Tobi (my cat) has been on frontline for a while yet it seems like it hasn’t been working. I just ordered revolution for him today and it will be here in a few days…i’ve already washed him twice and i plan on washing him again before we give him the revolution. I’ve been putting the powder stuff on the carpet, just did my room and i’m about to do the den again tomorrow night. BLAAAA…mopping everywhere washing and rewashing everything he lays on. I HATE IT. People keep telling me to bomb my home but i want that to be the last resort, i am not the biggest fan of chemicals being let out in the house (except for cleaning materials but even those are too much sometimes).
So we shall see, i’m going to call the vet again soon and get their advice. Do y’all have any advice?

I took these out at my mom’s parent’s home.

Thanksgiving was fun. Wednesday my mom’s side of the family had cooked a pig all day and then we ate some that night and hung out, shot guns, etc…so much fun. Thursday we went over to my dad’s side of the family and ate some awesome food and then we came back home and i did laundry, cleaned, and hung out. Then on Black Friday Maria & myself went shopping around 830 and i was amazed at how NOT PACKED it was. I’m used to going at midnight or 3am and then it is packed like crazy…so this was a nice switch up.
I ended up getting the last Harry Potter Part 2 movie and watched it like immediately!! Oh Rupert Grint, i adore him. bahaha I know i’m like a 13 year old but its just something about those Gingers! <3

See what i mean?!
hahahaha
I know i know…but he’s just beautiful.

Church hunting is going…eh.
It has proven to be super difficult to find a place where i feel i can fully connect. I’ve found this place that i’ve really enjoyed and know some of the people there but its a little ways away. I think it would be hard to get completely connected into a church where i’m not involved in the community and don’t see the people who are within the church. I want to be 100% involved in a church, not halfway.
UGHHHHHH….its just frustrating. I’m not a fan being where i am right now in regards to "finding a church" but you can’t always choose where you are in your current moment.

"Turning Page" by: Sleeping at Last
This song has been haunting me lately.
Something about the way the notes drip into each other and the words bend their way into the depths of the melodies that weighs my heart down…its beautiful. Beautifully tempting.
Relationships are hard. Nothing about them is easy or without the act of being humble and selfless; at least the relationships worth fighting for.
That is what i have learned, am still learning.
Relationships can be joyful, beautiful, loving, and incredible. They are also hard, frustrating, testing, compromising and sticky.
Yet all the while beautiful.

Some words to remember, to live by, to breathe in.
Always remember how loved you truly are.

I’m lucky in that my cat has never had fleas, despite him being an outdoors cat and getting into every thing he can. So I’m afraid I’ve got no advice! =( Those are some AMAZING pictures! You are very talented, you know. What sort of camera do you use? xx

I can sympathize with you on the church finding that’s for sure. I have no idea where I’m going to go most Sundays. It can be frustrating. Just don’t settle though. Find some place you feel called to 🙂 I can’t help with the flea part but eek sounds scary!

Chemicals wont work… there is stage of a flea’s cycle that make them indestructible. I use a mix of borax soap ($3/bx) and salt (>$1) and spread it liberally on my carpets for 24 hrs. vacuum it up. vacuum everyday for 3 days, and repeat. I also bag every fabric item (xtra blankets, clothing etc) for a couple weeks to kill. and wash cat items, dry hot, and bag. Its safe for pets/kids.

The stage is where fleas cocoon, during this water and chemicals cant kill them (which is why bombing takes more than one time). The mixture cause dehydration, and vacuum (vibrations) encourage them to hatch from the cocoons. I’ve also used it on furniture. And use salt around the floor boards of rooms for longer periods of time. bagging allows for higher temps and keeps them safe from hiding flea
