Welcome Baby!

Amazing news: we are grandparents! We have not yet met our dear granddaughter, but we have bought the plane tickets. Some of our friends, upon hearing the news, have exclaimed: “What are you still doing here???!”

But you see, this is the first baby grandchild for both sides of the family, and a whole lot of my son-in-law’s family lives very near to my daughter. She has way more “help” than I know that she prefers. So the LAST thing we wanted to do was to buy plane tickets and then get there before little Lauren arrived.

So here we are (still in Houston and not yet holding that baby!). We are trying to schedule some time to visit / meet our own precious granddaughter We have the first trip booked, but it will be too short. We also already have other spring trips planned. over-crowded with lots of extra lovely people that we love to death. And don’t forget that my Hubby is still trying to maintain a work schedule that will sustain all of these trips…
