happy happy heavy :(

I am off to visit my college gal for the weekend. Just me alone, and she has no plans outside of those whom I am scheduled to take out to dinner. She has planned time with me, her, plus her boyfriend, and also separate time with me, her and her gang.

But Sunday brunch will also be really fun with tons of characters from our family and from my beach weekend at a swanky place in my hometown that FB agreed to come to for the purpose of visiting 1) her grandmamma M, now my ex-step-mom-in-law (not in the family technically anymore, so not on the visiting list) and also the oldest member of our family, whom we will visit separately before or after as she is nearby our luncheon destination. That lady is a very sweet lady who loves both FB and me (she is Hubby’s childless great-aunt), and we always enjoy stopping by to see her at her retirement home.

When I return, I expect to hear from our favorite vet regarding the specialist’s reading of our 15-year-old basset hound’s chest x-ray. None of the choices are good, so we are likely getting ready to say “good-bye” to a truly great old friend.

aw, i only just stopped by, but i saw the pictures of your dogs and i’m so sorry to hear about your basset. you do have a beautiful family, though, and adorable dogs. Your name is misleading, though – I was expecting to see pictures of 13 dogs. 🙂 [charlotte] (not signed in)
