but happy all the same
Here are two entries I posted on Facebook. Please read them separately. Hubby and I cannot stop grinning!
One more proud praise of our daughter Youngest: She graduated May 12 from the Univ of North TX with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the College of Visual Arts and Design with a degree in Studio Art with a concentration in Photography and a minor in Business. Today UNT just sent us a certificate telling us that during her final semester, she achieved a perfect 4.0 gpa, granting her the “President’s List” certificate. She did graduate cum laude, btw. She is awesome!
More from our son’s update. Via his letter, no one is more surprised than him that he is not only in the CG Cape May marching band, (comprised of both recruits and enlisted personnel) “after 6 years of neglect” (of playing) he is section leader and in charge of making sure others, some of whom out-rank him, learn their parts. He is surprised at his memory of playing clarinet, and has already played in other boot camp graduation ceremonies and played solos at other boot camp events.
(and byw, youngest and fiance are doing great. we gave them a few exercises from our own personal sessions and got them a few appointments with a licensed family therapist…)
Sounds good all around, hope you’re still doing well :).
